Nature is Timeless

Meet the Artist

I paint from life, but how I compose them is not. My art is a reflection I want to see and feel the world around me.

I love being a part of nature and sharing a close up moment in time for people to appreciate, connect, remember and experience. I’m inspired by how nature is constantly evolving and journey from the new life that bursts from pods and buds, before dying and returning to the rejuvenate the very earth it grew from. We as humans are very much on the same cycle, bearing a few bumps and bruises along the way, but overall an amazing journey to be a part of.

I get so much joy when someone connects with my work and wants to take something I’ve created home to put on their wall. If you would like to hear about my latest completed paintings, please join my register.

My Art Studio

My eclectic studio is located at the back of the Emporium Gallery in Opunake, which is owned by my daughter Michaela Niederberger.

I love being in my studio that my family helped me create. Sharing my space with visitors enables them to see my works in progress, follow the journey and understand that good things take time.

“I sit on my swing seat, let my eye take me on a voyage around my painting, constantly searching to seek balance and show the love of the subject - be it weeds or flowers.”

Life Drawing

This has been a great discipline for my practice towards painting. That hand coordination, translating this to paper is a great challenge to onesself. We are extremely lucky with the high caliber of talent in and around Opunake and Taranaki and it great for everyone to experience this.
